The Calder Action Group is very pleased that an acceleration lane extension and better freeway entry from the Calder Park Drv/Calder Freeway to Bendigo northbound was completed in July 2009. The CAG felt this was warranted and we wrote to Vic Roads previously stating our safety concerns with the flow of traffic from this point. We are still pursing a longer and new deceleration lane at the Calder Park Drv/Calder Freeway interchange for the same reasons and our hopeful that Vic Roads will look at this request favourably in the near future.
